Imran should ensure transparency in funds utilisation: PEW

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Tuesday asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to ensure transparency in utilisation of fund.
Funds collected for welfare projects and those raised for party should not be mixed to ensure transparency and avoid accusations as well as any possible legal problem, it said.
Any financial scandal will have a very negative impact on the on-going welfare projects, PTI and personality of Imran, said Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) President Dr Murtaza Mughal.
He said that questions are being raised about consumption of funds raised for different public assistance projects for the sake of party rallies, which is a very disturbing development that can hut confidence of masses, he added.
Dr Murtaza Mughal said that reports said that PTI, UK, is in trouble over allegations regarding misuse of funds, abuse of authority and alleged dictatorship.
He asked Imran to take immediate mote of the allegations and take corrective steps lest frustration take an ugly turn.
Imran should ensure separate bank accounts for party funds and that raised for welfare projects, ensure proper audit, stay clear of legal complications, and approve moves accepted by the party workers, masses and the law, he advised.
Dr Murtaza Mughal said that it is unfortunate that some veteran activists who supported Imran in difficult times are reported to be feeling abandoned and marginalised.
Ignoring the problem may compromise capability of Imran to raise millions overnight for his projects, he warned.

  8. Imran does separate fund raising for Namal College, SKMH and PTI. All the accounts are under different organizations and every last penny is accounted for as evident by the financial statements of these separate entities.

  9. So Mr. Mughal "raised" some anomolies to separate funds between party activities & charity (which is yet to be proven) and that makes Imran Khan "corrupt" ??? ..what a brilliant conclusion…. Goodness gracious..the rest of our "esteem leadership" bankrupted the country and Imran Khan is not "transparent" ???
    This is the first time thie so called "think-tank" ever made any "statement" and great way to start by bashing IK. Has anyone heard PEW raising questions against the GOVT? a unanimous conclusion on most corrupt govt but PEW have "concerns" against Imran Khan, not the rotten rest… Open media has not just exposed corrupt politicians but our intellectual class as well….

The bank Accounts of PTI, HOspital, IKF, NAMAL University, Flood Victums are all SEPARATE Accounts and above all each n every penny in the accounts are accountable to everyone even to a common man if he/she wish to see….PEW Should have done a research before making such statements ….Infact seems to me a kind of another propaganda against Imran Khan …But Mind YOu all Imran Khan is Unstopable now …Nobody No Source can stop him rising n rising except ALLAH ….Keep it up Imran V all with you ..!

    How much money/grants/funding by whom, when & how much?
    Lets discuss these "transparent" think-tanks as well, since they are being "troubled" by lack of transparancy by Imran Khan.

  21. How can Dr. Mughal come out with such sweeping analysis without any proof. All charity and flood relief funds are audited by rennowned chartered accountant firms. If you want I can get you in touch with them and they will make all audit records public. What is PEW in the first place and who is Dr. Mughal!!?? Best to ask him how much he received from Mian Sb. to come up with such slandrous conjectures!! ?? If you can't do anything good Dr. Sahib, its best to stay quiet.

  27. Seems to be propaganda against IK. Everyone knows the accounts for various charities and PTI are completely separate and audited by prestigious firms. Imran Khan is the beacon of hope among the corrupt political class today.

  28. Its Good, IK has already shown enough transparency, you can see all audit reports on INsaf.pk and SKH's website, they should raise these questions to get things clear. IK should give official answer to these people with evidences.

Chief justice cant be enter .. because of the Hold of MQM… so how Imran khan can enter and make Jalsa…??? its a funny fact that They are all together…
    as a student i think.. as he said in his interview "jab phaly he dusman mulk main hain mai bahir larai kuin lun" if he came into politics he also stay Under to USA because pakistani economy cant be run with out money and for this basic point he give USA control like PPP ,,, and one more thing which really funny about Imran khan… as he said "hamara nazariya jadoo ki charii hai" i mean..
