In a major setback to the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), sitting Minister of State Raza Hayat Hiraj is all set to join Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) today (Tuesday) with some heavyweights of the former Millat Party of Sardar Farooq Leghari including Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, Jamal Khan Leghari, Jaffer Khan Leghari and former MNA Mian Afzal Hayat would join the PTI in the next few days, Pakistan Today learnt on Monday. A well-placed source said Khan had finally made up his mind to sweep the remnants of the PML-Q and former colleagues of Gen Pervez Musharraf and a schedule for all those sitting and former MPs had been finalised. “Under the plan, Marvi Memon had to announce joining the PTI and had been promised the secretary information’s slot. However, she sought some time after coming to know that the same slot was to be offered to Dr Maleeha Lodhi, who is also set to join the PTI in a few days,” the source said, adding that now Marvi might join the PTI at the Karachi rally. The source said MNA Khawaja Khan Hoti would announce joining the PTI on Friday, while PML-Q chief of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter Ameer Muqam was also in talks for joining the PTI. “The political chessboard is almost ready and in the next few weeks, some other heavyweight politicians would also join Imran Khan and later politicians from Sindh would join the PTI from January,” added the source.

Constitution of Pakistan should be completely rewritten. There should be separation of mosque and state with freedom of religion for everyone. Government powers must not be used to support any religion but for the protection of all religions and ***es.
Our problem is inherent in the Ideology of Pakistan. Pakistan is the only country in the world created in the name of religion. Israel, India, USA and all developed countries do not have a state religion. There is separation of church and state in all developed countries of Europe, Americas, Australia and Japan.

My friend have faith in Imran Khan. If the majority of ticket holders come election time is comprised of turncoats then your concerns are going to be valid but if the majority of ticket holders is comprised of new faces then the outcome is going to be very different.
PTI was always considered clean and good but never viable. That is a very important psychological barrier for PTI to break. You shall see that a lot of these turncoats will bite the dust come election time.

IK is an honest man and takes everyone like this. If the youth keep supporting him, he will definitely kick out corrupts from party and the system. But if we let propoganda spoil our support to IK then IK cant do nothing.

I support and re-enforce the comments of jawad sb. Leadership is all we must be concerned about. We have complete faith in Imran Khan. He has devised a complete governing body of party and a systematic way to handle all these issues. A candidate will only be able to take ticket of the party after complying with all the defined parameters and procedures of Tehrik-e-Insaf. So I suggest all the youth to trust in top leadership of PTI, and we must be fully confident on their ability to handle these issues. When leadership is corrupt and loot mafia, a sincere member can't do in this situation, and the same is otherwise. I think this will clear all the doubts in our minds.

Marvi mamon and lehari family are not corrupt politicians.similarly maleeha lodhi and asghar khan are very good people who are coming to PTI.This time imran khan should give tickets to those politician who can win election and having a good reputation in public.If PMLN and PPP are so worried about PTI new entrants, why they have opened door to all sorts of politicians.Nawaz sharif family will do anything to win next election as they have been enjoying power since the time of zia ul haq and looting the wealth of our country.

How long will these "heavyweights" stay in PTI if it is made clear to them that they have little chance of being given tickets until they have proved their loyalty to party principles?
Actually this will be the true test of the loyalty of new entrants. No one is being promised anything for joining PTI. The tickets will be awarded purely on merit in line with party policy. Those who are denied tickets will be free to leave the party..
Many people are now joining imran khan party for dry cleaning themselves.No doubt imran support and popularity has been on the rise lately but that was due to the fact that people were disappointed with the performance of the main stream parties.ik himself didnt do anything extraordinary to create this support.But since ik lacks political maturity he would make one blunder after another another till the time of elections and thereby lose whatever support he has gained among the people.I expect a mass exodus from pti soon after the elections.

Imran is doing the right thing. He needs numbers to win the election and as long as they are people who are not tarnished they will be fine.
As for those who complain about them being rejects of other parties, well we have all seen what the cream of those parties have achieved. So they may just be the best of the of those who did get into power and did nothing but loot and destroy the country.
And everyone deserves to be forgiven for their minor mistakes and to be given a second chance.
this is constituency politics my friends. if imran himself contest from khanewal , he will get only 5 to 10 thousand votes. whereas raza hayat hiraj will easily get 50 thousand votes if he stands for any party or independent. So let them come. this is good sign for party.

We are funny people. Do we know that aftr all that media campaign and all against the fake degree holders Jamshed Dasti had again won? Rural politics is different than Metroplitan ones anmajority of these belong to Rural areas or less developed ones. Policy making is done at the strategic level and the ideologic cader ia there to.do that. The chessboard was already ready for the PTI as Pakistanis are very angry to the previous party coming to rein and breaking there trust to solve there major as well as minor problems.But the fact is that the people joining the PTI are those cultprits who were one way or the other have been the part of those activities which brought Pakistan to such situation.

seriously i will still vote for PTI even if all 1000 candidates are the old faces. there is no point in making issues of this. when all these polital figures were in other parties, we all still voted them allbeit with a bit of bad taste in mouth but still we voted them knowing that the party as whole is corrupt including the very top leaders of the parties..but now that we know that the very top leaders of PTI are not corrupt and they are the cleanest available in pakistan we are now making issues of people joining the party? why are we so blind to know that it matters when your leadership is strong. Kaptaan will not handover everything to just anybody. he knows that people like SMQ are important for people in politics to realise that if some one like SMQ can join the party it means this party has the future and that is the sole reason at the moment people are joing PTI so fastly becuase they know someone like SMQ is not fool enough to destroy his career by joining PTI…

Sometimes things have to be done for the greater good. What Imran is doing is just right. He is flexible enough to allow in candidates which are not knee deep in corruption. Ok, so most of them may not have done well in their previous roles, so what. Maybe they were never given the chance to.
Imran could have worked to save his marriage and to spend lots of time with his kids. But he chose to do great things for his country and for the betterment of his people. And for that I admire him, tremendously….

If there is PTI today – in whatever form and popularity, it is only because of Imran Khan. At personal level, he hasn't changed even an inch from the positions he takes on big issues like corruption and bad governance. What if less chaste elements from this dysfunctional society are joining his party in hordes? If Imran doesn't take them, they will go to PML-N which is now embracing everyone. It is a race to the swift and PTI would massively lose if it applies levers of morality at this time. Let that happen at the time of awarding tickets. For the time being, young PTI supporters should try to understand the dynamics of Pakistani politics. They should worry only if Imran Khan changes or compromises his ideals at personal level and that is impossible from this rock-solid man 🙂

Once thought than Imran Khan would be a light of hope for poor pakistanis… who will bring a grassroots reform in the country and bring justice and peace…
But now it looks like its the same old… same old… grab the power even if you have to have crooks, jagirdars, smugglers and looters on your side…

You either need a bloody revolution from the top that only a powerfull general can bring… or a grassroots revolution that will take a decade to materialize… as a matter of fact grassroots revolution have bot even hatched as yet… Imraan Khan was the hope of grassfoots reform and revolution but not any more…
Can some body ask Imraan Khan what is his manifesto, policies and plan for change?
