Sindh’s folk singer Shaman Mirali attracts more people than those who participated in rally of PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif in Larkana, Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri said on Saturday.
“He [Nawaz] has a habit of invading the houses of his hosts,” she remarked while speaking at a press conference at the New Sindh Secretariat. “It is a condemnable act,” she added.
The minister said that Nawaz Sharif has been an anti-democracy politician. “He attacked the judiciary in the past and is now preparing to ambush the parliament.”
She said that Sharif left the country after a written agreement with a military dictator. “Why didn’t he raise voice against the derailing of democracy on October 12, 1999?”
She said that Sharif has found Mumtaz Bhutto, who always used derogatory language against Benazir Bhutto, as an ally in Sindh. “Mumtaz Bhutto’s only aim in life is to become three-month caretaker chief minister.”
Marri said that Sharif talks about distribution of agricultural land among landless peasants, a job which the current government is already doing. “Why doesn’t he do this job in Punjab?” she posed the question.
