45th CPSP convocation: 273 caps in the air

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) held its 45th Annual Convocation with Justice (retd) Rana Bhagwandas as the chief guest on Saturday.
Degrees were awarded to 208 FCPS Fellows, and 60 MCPS and five DCPS members. On the occasion, two gold medals were awarded to position holder by Bhagwanadas. The president, councillors, professors, head of various institutions, civil society members, parents of students and elites of the area attended the ceremony. CPSP President Prof Zafar Ullah Chaudhry congratulated the achievers and said that the college was established with the vision to promote specialist practice and to provide an apparatus to producing specialists who are trained to cater to the specialist healthcare needs of the country. He further said that the CPSP qualification is widely recognised in the UK and Arab countries. “In order to facilitate this huge system of training and examinations, the college provides elaborate support systems in the form of various departments and units, both administrative and academic, at its headquarters in Karachi and 14 regional centres in different cities of the country. All centres are equipped with physical facilities for holding mandatory workshops for supervisors and trainees, seminars, examinations and meetings, IT facilities of internet, literature search and video-conference, libraries and necessary equipment.,” he said.
