The United States has vacated the Shamsi airbase and also moved five drones to Afghanistan and other locations, Geo News reported on Friday. It is expected that UAE officials will take control of the airbase today (Saturday).
Citing sources, the channel said American barracks at the base had also been destroyed and FIA officials were present to check the immigration of US citizens. The Americans had also expanded the runway of the airbase in order to allow the landing of large aircrafts.
