An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi recorded statements on Saturday of four witnesses in the assassination case of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto (BB).
The judge, Shahid Rafique, recorded the statements of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Deputy Director Nauman Ashraf Bodla, Police Station City Sub-Inspector (SI) Asghar Ali and Asif and Jamal Toro, representatives of two mobile companies, during the hearing held at the Adiyala Jail.
Meanwhile, the FIA prosecutors produced a notification issued by the Interior Ministry for the formation of a Judicial Commission for India to record the statements of doctors and law enforcers who remained in touch with the victims of the Mumbai attacks. The court ordered the defence counsels who were willing to be a part of JC to provide their details to the court within two days.
The ATC also reserved the verdict on the bail plea of Rashid Ahmed, one of the seven accused being held in the murder case. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till December 17.
