A petition has been filed against Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) director general and others in the Islamabad High Court for not taking any action against Veena Malik’s nude photoshoot.
The petitioner Muhammad Waqas Malik Advocate stated in his petition that state institutions were being attacked by anti-Pakistan elements but the quarters concerned were not interested in initiating any legal action against its subjects. He cited Interior secretary, along with the director generals of ISI, Federal Investigation Agency, Inter Services Public Relations, and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority as respondents.
He said Veena Malik carried out anti-state activities in the name of art and culture adding that she appeared nude with a hand grenade suggesting that ISI was a terrorist organization.
He said the offence of the actress lies under section 44 (2) of the Criminal Procedure Code which stated that action could be initiated against the accused whether the crime was committed inside the country or not.
