Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, who was injured in a road accident during a visit to her constituency on Monday night, was advised complete rest for three weeks on Wednesday.
The minister got her ankle fractured in a car accident near Wazirabad two days ago when her car had overturned after its tyre burst. She had been taken to a local hospital where she was given first aid and her ankle was plastered. Later the minister was shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Lahore where she was examined by Brigadier Dr Jafri who advised her complete rest for three weeks. Later on Wednesday, after being discharged from the hospital, Awan left for Islamabad. The hospital sources said that she will undergo another medical examination after three weeks.
