Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said the presence of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry would ensure the holding of free and fair elections.
Speaking to the media at Lahore airport, Khan warned that the country’s situation might worsen if the upcoming elections were rigged. He said that results of any election in Pakistan had never been accepted wholeheartedly and that it was a common practice of the losing party to accuse the successful party of rigging.
Khan added that the country had witnessed martial laws resulting due to election rigging allegations.
He also told the media representative that elections should be held after the completion of the voting lists.
