Yaum-e-Ashur was observed with religious fervor and reverence in commemoration of great sacrifices rendered by martyrs led by the grandson of Holy Prophet (PBUH), Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) on the scorching desert of Kerbala.
Karachi’s central procession emerged from Nishtar Park, where various other small mourning rallies also merged into the large procession with devotees of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) mourning and doing matam.
Lahore’s central procession of Shabih-e-Zuljinah set out from Nisar Haveli with soaring sounds of Ya Hussain Ya Hussain, Ya Abbas Ya Abbas.
Rawalpindi’s central procession moved from Imambargha Ashiq Hussain.
In Peshawar, more than ten processions were taken out. The large processions of Alam and Zuljinnah came out from Imambargah Jaan Muhammed, Alam Shah and Imambargah Hyder Shah.
Quetta’s central procession appeared from Imambargah Punjabi Alamdar Road.
Mourners and devotees of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A.) paid tribute to him and other martyrs of Kerbala over the sacrifices unparalleled in human history.
