Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has said the Karbala tragedy reminds us of the supreme sacrifices which Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), grandson of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his companions rendered to uphold truth and the supremacy of Islam. He said the everlasting sacrifices of Shuhada-e-Karbala gave us a lesson of not hesitating from sacrificing for the propagation of truth, adding that the incident of Karbala was a battle between right and wrong which taught us to resist wrong. He stressed the need for benefiting from the philosophy of Hussain (RA) for promoting an atmosphere of brotherhood, establishing peace and the elimination of oppression and injustice. He said religious tolerance and patience would have to be promoted to eliminate terrorism, sectarianism and chaos from the country.
ANNUAL GHUSAL OF DATA GANJ BAKSH’S MAZAR: The 968th Annual Ghusal ceremony of the Mazar of Al-Shaikh Al-Syed Ali Bin Usman Al-Hajveri known as Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh was held on Monday. Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif was the chief guest on the occasion.
