Amar Cables beat SPM Stags by two wickets in the third SPM Lahore Veteran Cricket League here at the Cricket Center Ground on Sunday.
Batting first, SPM Stags made 155 all out in 28.4 overs. Shakeel Malik scored 29 runs while Shahid Anwar and Kamran Khan made 21 and 20 runs respectively. Rouf Wain and Tariq Rasheed took three wickets each. In reply, Amar Cables achieved the target of 156 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 29 overs. Amer Ilyas Butt scored 29 runs while Dastgeer Butt 24, Zahid Umar 24 and Muhammad Hafeez 22 were the other prominent scorers. Zahoor Ilahi, Javeed Hayyat and Imtiaz Tarar took two wickets each. In the end, chief guest Rizwan Nisar gave the man of the match award to Rouf Wain. SPM Chief Aizad Hussain Syed, CEO Amar Cables, CEO PVCA Nawab Ashiq Hussain Qureshi were also present on the occasion.
