15-year-old innocent girl killed as rivals exchange fire

An innocent 15-year-old girl was killed in an armed clash between two rival groups over an old enmity at the Emergency Department of Holy Family Hospital (HFH) on Monday. Providing details New Town Police Station officials said a brawl occurred between Raja Masroor and Raja Qasim at the Mandra village. Later, both the groups resorted to indiscriminate fire, injuring Rana Aqeel and a woman Uzma Babi. Police officials and the victim party brought the injured persons to the Holy Family Hospital for treatment. However, the other party reached HFH after some time came and another shoot out began the opponents.
As a result, a stray bullet hit a 15 year-old-girl Fatima Amin at her head. The injured girl was immediately provided medical treatment by the doctors, but she could not survive the deadly wound. According to the hospital sources, Fatima Amin, daughter of Kamran Amin a resident of Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, had taken her mother to the HFH executive director for a medical check-up but fall prey to bullet. The New Town Police Station officials registered a case against the killers under sections 302, 324 and 7 ATA and arrested five people.
