Imran declares his assets, appoints Qureshi as vice chairman

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan declared his all assets while addressing a press conference in Islamabad here on Sunday, according to media reports.
Khan also appointed Shah Mehmood Qureshi as the Vice Chairman of PTI at the occasion.
While urging other politicians to declare their assets, Khan stated that all of his assets were under his name and were in Pakistan.
While clearing allegations against him regarding money involved in the administration of Shaukat Khanum hospital, the PTI chief said that he had received two plots by Nawaz Sharif after the World Cup in 1992 and had given both to the hospital.
He also cleared allegations against him regarding taxes, Khan said that will resign from politics if it were proved that he had lied or cheated.
He further said that other members belonging to his party will also be declaring their assets soon.

  3. Great. He also declare the source and receipt of legal transaction. This is where other politicans failed. They declatre assets but not source and transactions. Further, their standard of living does not matcg the income

Its a good step but who will decide that he is declaring true assets. 2nd he previously said that he buy this house from transfer of funds after buying flat but today he informed he borrow loan from Jamaima and returned and more over he informed that flat is gift by her wife. 3rd lands he shown informed that inherited same others said so whats the difference. Its just a political point scoring nothing else.

  16. Guys most of the politicians are sitting in assemblies and they have already submitted there assets details to election commission. Issue is who will verify that assets declared by IK or others are true or fake. Declaring assets is not the issue.

    • Mamoon Bhai, None of the politician has submitted their asset sheets to Election Commission, EC asked for it but only initial steps are taken that it ….

    • So you will back people who are crooked and don`t want any change. I do worry about some of these guys joining PTI but with Imran there we should at least have honest government. With the crooked bed fellows, Zardari and Nawaz, nothing will change except their bank balances.

  25. IK is an honest man and we should not doubt his honesty and integrity. He has appointed Shah as his no 2. Was there an election within the party to elect Shas his no2 or like all other parties IK acts unilateraly.

Sadly the reality at the end of the day is that the corrupt tolas could carry on messing with Pakistan, but certain (secretive) “deals” or “pacts”, are of much more “importance” – of course along with the sustenance of the “loot-maar” system that keeps adding to the “luxuries” of many! 😉

    He should STOP criticising and move forward to talk for the amendments in current systems to ensure Clear and Uniform Institutions.
    ASSETS are not announced in public forums to show How much you have and how neat are YOU.
    We Need to Built PAKISTAN and its Institution. So Politics should be based on How can we built Pakistan.

      You don't suppose it is the right of Pakistani people to know how their leaders have been stealing their money and acquiring properties outside of Pakistan? How these looters have amassed millions in swiss accounts, all stolen from poverty stricken people??? While the people starve they spend millions in re-furnishing their mansions abroad.
