The law enforcement agencies have claimed to have arrested two suspects involved in bank robberies in Karachi from Kohat and Parachinar, police sources said Saturday.
Police said Nasir Hussain and Gulab Shah were arrested during raids conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kohat and Parachinar towns, adding that they confessed to have looted at least five banks in Karachi.
Upon their indication, officials said, three more suspects were rounded up in Karachi.
Meanwhile, the commercial banking circle of the Federal Investigation Agency arrested in Karachi a ten-member group involved in drawing millions of rupees from different bank accounts using fake cheque books.
Fake stamps, documents and cheques were also recovered from their possession.
