Justice Asad Munir of the Lahore High Court retired on Friday. In this regard a formal farewell ceremony was also held to honour the retiring judge. LHC Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and other judges praised the services rendered by Justice Munir. They presented him bouquet and saw him off with good wishes. court registrar can’t be made respondent: The LHC ordered a lawyer to remove the name LHC registrar from the list of respondents from his writ petition seeking disqualification of 229 civil judges-cum-judicial magistrates in Punjab, who had failed to pass the departmental examination. Justice Umar Ata Bandial took up the petition while objecting the nomination of registrar in the case.The judge asked the lawyer to remove the name of registrar from the list of respondents and file the petition afresh since he could not be made a respondent.
