Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Syed Asif Hashmi laid the foundation stone of a Sikh temple in New Delhi during his recent visit to India. Hashmi was invited by Indian Sikhs to lay the foundation stone in recognition of his services for Sikhs in Pakistan. He was warmly received by PPP leaders Haji Azizur Rehman Chan, Zikriya Butt, ETPB Secretary Junaid Ahmed and others on his arrival at Wahga Border. The PPP leader has joined the ranks of renowned saint Mian Mir, who laid the foundation stone of the Golden Temple at Amritsar, India.
