Alleged terrorists arrested in Karachi

Four alleged terrorists, planning to carry out suicide attacks in the metropolis, were arrested on Thursday.
During a news conference, CID SSP Chaudhry Aslam said the alleged terrorists belonged to the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Aslam added that further search operations were underway to arrest those involved along with these four.
Suicide jackets, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of these four alleged terrorists.
Earlier, two scouts performing Muharram duty at the Numaish intersection on the city’s main MA Jinnah Road were killed and another injured in an attack on the first day of the month.
At least eight people, including a reporter from a private TV channel, were injured while a car, a van and around two dozens of motorcycles were set ablaze by a large number of enraged people who had gathered at the place after the attack.
