Kidnapped baby recovered, woman dies of wrong injection

Police late on Tuesday night arrested the female kidnapper and recovered a 4-month-old infant who was kidnapped earlier in the day from Bibi Pakdaman. Police, without naming the kidnapper, reported the arrest of the female kidnapper from Kot Lakpat area and recovered the kidnapped minor. Police said that, earlier Gujranwala resident Azan Ali, 4 months of age, was kidnapped by an unknown woman on the pretext of offering prayer for the infant. The infants’ mother Nargis and father had arrived at General Hospital to get the child treated when the woman asked them to come with her to Bibi Pakdaman and offer a prayer for their son. At the shrine, the unknown woman took Azan Ali from Nargis and managed to flee.
Wrong injection: Hafeeza Khanum, 55, years-old woman died allegedly when a Services Hospital doctor administered her the wrong injection on Tuesday. More then two dozen relatives of the deceased lodged a protest against the hospital administration inside the hospital. Hafeeza, a Khanum resident of D-Block Gulshane Ravi, was suffering breathing problems. She was taken to Services Hospital for medical aid late on Tuesday where the on-duty doctor administered her the wrong injection which caused her death.
