Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday suggested the name of renowned social worker Dr. Abdul Sattar Edhi, the head of Edhi Foundation, for the International Peace Prize. Special Envoy of UN Secretary General on HIV/AIDS for Asia Dr. Nafisa Sadiq, called on Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani at PM House on Monday and discussed names for the peace prize and other issues with the premier.
During the meeting the Prime Minister suggested Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for International Peace Prize for her meritorious services for the human right’s cause. . However, Dr. Nafisa Sadiq said that the posthumous Nobel Peace Prize does not exist and therefore Shaheed Benazir Bhutto does not fall in the category, according to a press release issued here. At this the Prime Minister suggested the name of Edhi foundation’s head, Dr Abdul Sattar Edhi. She appreciated the suggestion and promised to mobilize support for Edhi.
Edhi is the most deserving candidate for Nobel Prize. If he is not, who else can be?
on mofahimat this should be given to the President of Pakistan or Rehman Malik, Edhi like people are not serving the country for these prizes!
Agree to sarfaraz about Edhi not eligible for peace… Ansar barni would ve been a better choice as he was responsible for briinging back our men at sea from somalian pirates…
totally disagree with Quratulain, only for few persons u r supporting Mr. Ansar Barni, I really appreciate his efforts there, but what Edhi is doing everyone in the country and in the whole world is aware, and agree with Sarfraz Abbasi that people like Edhi are not doing this job to become famous or to get reward from some one, but his nomination will definitely boost to bring others to follow Mr. Edhi So to me Mr. Edhi is the rightest choice.

Quratulain Shahid: You forgot how Ansar Burny had managed play whole drama for the release of Kashmir Singh and forgot bring back any Pakistani jailed there and then I am sure you must have idea how Indians had treated him. What a shame. He does everything for the fame and money. Ansar Burney always jumps in matters that can give him some cheap publicity. Recently he was trying to become a Anna Hazare, isnt? To me, Ansar Burney stands nowhere and has simply no comparision with great Abdul Sattar Edhi. And those who cant go toilet without the maids cant serve the people they can just do the facebooking and they biggest loser on the earth, having no right to talk about the great men like Edhi in a way as you just did…

No body near to abdul sattar edhi he is graet person and our real hero and deserve this award
