Federal Minister and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) Central Senior Leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday attended the last prayers of the second phase of the Raiwind religious gathering (Tableeghi Ijtema), which concluded with special prayers for the welfare, safety and supremacy of Pakistan, as well as the Muslim ummah.
Flanked by PML-Q leaders Shafey Hussain, Rasikh Elahi, Qaim Ali Shah, Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Maulana Mudassar Ahmed, Saeed Anwar and Jamal Leghari, Elahi was welcomed at the congregation by organisers Maulana Haroon Qureshi, Maulana Tariq Jameel and general (r) Javed Nasir.
Praising Pervaiz Elahi’s contribution towards the international tableeghi congregation, Maulana Haroon Qureshi said Elahi had allocated 75 kanals of land for the construction of the 3rd largest mosque of the world at Raiwind, which would house over 75,000 worshippers.
