Restoration of gas supply to the CNG stations made vehicles move but residents of twin cities were forced to leave for offices and schools without having cooked breakfast.
It is learnt that after the Supreme Court’s directive to restore gas supply to the CNG stations, the domestic consumers of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have been facing worse gas load shedding since two weeks. Residents have demanded president Zardari, PM Gilani and Federal Minister for Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain to take notice of the situation for reinstatement of gas supply.
The residents have to use fire wood for preparation of meals, water heating and other purposes as well. “I have to collect a bundle of dried fire wood daily to meet the needs of energy, “said Zeeshan a resident of G-7/2. He said occupants encountering too much problems due to gas load shedding especially early in the morning when the gas pressure is very low.
The residents said that due to distraction of authorities concerned the gas load shedding in twin cities is a question mark for the government.
They said that numerous applications have been forwarded to the Sui Northern offices in Islamabad and Rawalpindi complaining low gas pressure in the concerned areas but no one has taken notice and have become silent spectator on miseries of people.
The inhabitants asked the concerned authorities for immediate restoration of gas supply as their daily routines have been disturbed badly.
The government expected the people would buy cupcakes from the bakeries for their breakfast!
