The offended nurses continued to protest on third day on Saturday, as prolonged negotiations with the government failed to reach a consensus in connection with their demands regarding special pay package and medical allowances.
Meantime, indoor services and operation theaters are closed in hospitals, posing serious troubles to the patients, as the protesting nurses staged a demo in front of Lahore Press Club (LPC) for being under-paid.
Furthermore, Young Nurses Association said they will stage a sit-in front of the LPC and vowed to continue protest and strike until their demands including pay raise are met.
