Haqqani asked to initiate legal action against Mansoor Ijaz

President Asif Ali Zardari has directed former envoy Hussain Haqqani to initiate a legal action against American businessman Mansoor Ijaz over memo scandal, media reported on Saturday.
Media quoted sources privy to the President Office said that President Zardari has asked Haqqani to start legal proceedings against Ijaz and the newspaper concerned.
Hussain has recently stepped down as Pakistan ambassador to Washington over his alleged role in memogate controversy.
He is accused of writing a secret memo to US Admiral Mike Mullen through Mansoor Ijaz.
