Militants set ablaze two houses in Orakzai Agency on Friday. The incident took place when some unknown militants encircled two houses in Saragah area exactly located in Central Orakzai and then started setting it ablze, sources said. However, no causality was reported till filing of this report.
Militancy and sectarian violence has been in vogue for few years in Orakzai Agency, the only tribal area of Pakistan that doesn’t borders Afghanistan.
Situation was improved after Pakistani forces launched full-fledged operation but militants’ attacks could be stopped absolutely due to the peculiar location of the agency.
Sometimes violent incidents are reported from the area. At least 34 militants were killed this week in clashes with security forces in Upper Orakzai Agency who allegedly attacked a security check post.
Orakzai is bounded by Kurram Agency in the west, Khyber in the north, Hangu (Kohat District) on the south and Peshawar in the east.
