Former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qurashi has said that public meeting in Ghotki will be held on November, 27 at all costs.
Shah Mehmood said this in a statement issued on Thursday.
“Fabricated news are being published in Islamabad. I am much shocked over seeing the news about cancellation of Ghotki public meeting in a national daily. The newspaper should have verified this news before publishing it. I will reach Ghotki on November, 27 at every cost despite all hurdles from the government”, he stated.
He requested provincial government Sindh and Ghotki administration not to put hurdles in the way and government should not be upset in this respect. Public meeting will be peaceful and within the code of conduct.
He deplored that Sindh government has cancelled the public meeting venue but he has acquired an alternate venue.
“We have decided to approach Sindh High Court to seek orders for restraining Sindh government from creating any hurdles on the way to hold public meeting,” said Qureshi.
He warned that the whole responsibility of public fury would rest with government if it tried to disrupt public meeting.
