Pakistan is a special case as far as social evils and other problems that plague its social, political and economic life are concernd. From politics to education, to economics and defence issues, we have one or another problem that keeps rearing its head on a recurring basis, if not persistent. Due to terrorism, security from internal and external threats and a proper law and order mechanism appear to be totally absent from the national scene. As long as we don’t counter these issues, we cannot make steadfast progress on any other front. This must be a top priority for the government.
