CM orders strict security for Muharram

Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah directed on Tuesday that all precautionary measures should be adopted for maintaining law and order across the province during Muharram. “Proper security should be arranged for imambargahs, Muharram processions and other places of religious gatherings to avoid any untoward incident,” he instructed while presiding over a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House. The meeting was attended by Home Minister Manzoor Wasan, Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas, Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Shah, Law Secretary Syed Ghulam Nabi Shah, Advocate General Fatah Malik and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Alamuddin Bullo.
The chief minister further directed that the law enforcement agencies should monitor the activities of suspicious people and increase patrolling. Wassan and the provincial police chief informed the participants of the meeting that foolproof security arrangements have been arranged for Muharram.
