Canadian High Commissioner Ross Hynes called on Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the Chief Minister’s House on Tuesday. Welcoming the newly-appointed envoy, the chief minister briefed him about various issues regarding socio-economic, cultural, literacy and health conditions in the province, according to an official handout. “Sindh has many opportunities of investment, especially the wind power sector along its coastal belt,” he said, while sharing the details of Thar coal energy generation project and the agriculture sector. The Canadian delegate appreciated the revival of economic activities with controlled security situation in Karachi. Canadian diplomats Andrew NG, Honorary Consul General Behram Avari and Secretary to Chief Minister Alamuddin Bullo also attended the meeting.
INDONESIAN DIPLOMAT MEETS KHUHRO: Indonesian Consul General Rossalis Rusman Adenan called on Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro at his office on Tuesday and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. Terming the exploration of solar, wind and hydropower sectors need of the hour, Khuhro said that Sindh is full of natural resources and the government has taken serious steps to facilitate foreign investors in the country. Showing interest in investment in Sindh, the Indonesian envoy said that trade relations between Pakistan and Indonesia would be increased.
