5 killed, 11 hurt in attack on Chinese engineers

At least five people, including three security personnel, were killed and eleven others wounded on Tuesday in a remote controlled bomb attack on Chinese engineers in Dera Bugti. The guest engineers, however, remained safe, media reported.
Official sources were quoted as saying that the explosives, planted on the roadside, exploded with a big bang when the vehicles of the Chinese engineers passed by.
As a result, two vehicles were destroyed, while five people, including personnel of Bugti peace force, were killed, and a dozen others were injured.
Sources said that the explosives were detonated through a remote controlled device and the vehicles of Chinese engineers were the main target.
Police and personnel of FC rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast till filing of this report. However, police said Baloch militants might be behind this attack.
