Security forces backed by helicopter gunships pounded militant hideouts in Orakzai and Agency on Monday, killing 21 pro-Taliban militants and injuring 25 others, local officials said. In upper Orakzai Agency, the gunships targeted militants’ positions near the Afghan border and killed 10 of them, as well as destroying five of their hideouts.
