News about Imran-Munter meeting false: PTI

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has reacted strongly to the news published in some newspapers about a meeting between Mr. Imran Khan and the US Ambassador Cameron Munter which, according to the news item, was facilitated by the presence of the ISI Chief General Shuja Pasha.
In a statement released from the party’s office in Islamabad, PTI Secretary General Dr. Arif Alvi said that this news item is totally fabricated and false and appears to be an attempt to provide support to the false propaganda unleashed by PML-N and its coterie that PTI had the support of the establishment. The allegation is an attempt to divert the attention of the people from the fast-declining popularity of PML-N because of the failure of its government in Punjab and its anti-people policies that it practiced during its two tenures in the federal capital. Its failed rallies in Lahore and Faisalabad had driven it to desperation and it is venting its venom on PTI.
He reiterated that such attempts would not dent Chairman Imran Khan’s growing popularity and the flocking of people to his party and programme which is meant to bring about a change in policies of the status quo and align them with the needs and aspirations of the people of Pakistan. He said that we are sending a strong letter to the newspapers, that published this news item, to retract the falsehood otherwise we reserve the right to claim damages in a court of law.
