The capital police on Saturday arrested ASI Kausar Iqbal from anti-car lifting cell searched a car near Jhugi Syedan in the Tarnol police area and recovered liquor from it besides apprehending four car occupants identified as Jameel, Usman, Farooq and Khurram.
Sub Inspector Shaukat Hussain from CIA police arrested four thieves, Ali Asghar, Bilal, Latif and Wajid, and recovered looted items from them. Assistant Sub Inspector Gulzar Ahmed from CIA police arrested a thief identified as Mudassar and recovered stolen cell phones from him. Sub Inspector Muhammad Arshad from Kohsar police arrested Waseem Masih for having 230 grams of heroin while Sub Inspector Saif Ullah arrested Javed Masih for possessing 170 grams of heroin, ASI Abdul Ghafoor from Tarnol police nabbed Habib for keeping a 30-bore pistol and three rounds.
Cases have been registered against all the accused and further investigation is underway.
