The Islamabad Capital Territory administration on Sunday conducted raids to check prices in the area of Shahzad Town and imposed fines on 17 profiteers.
A spokesman for the ICT administration said Islamabad Secretariat Assistant Commissioner Nauman Yousaf conducted price checking in the area of Shahzad Town and imposed fines on profiteers for overcharging and not displaying rate lists of food items.
According to details, the secretariat AC conducted raids in the area of Shahzad Town and imposed fines amounting to Rs 8,000 on 17 profiteers for overcharging and not displaying rate lists of fruits and vegetables.
During the course of price checking, the AC also issued warning to profiteers to ensure display of rate lists of food items, failing which stern action would be taken against the violators.
