A rally was staged under World Islamic Organisation Chairman Dr Muzhar Shafique against Pakistan’s decision to grant India the title of Most Favoured Nation. Shafique expressed strong reservations on the government’s decision, adding that the decision did not go in the favour of Pakistan.
He said India was Pakistan’s eternal foe, thus could not think for the betterment of Pakistan. He said the government’s policies were turning into the ultimate threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty. He stressed that all patriotic parties should unite and make a joint plan to get rid of the PPP government. Leaders from other parties including Jamat-ul-Dawa Ameer Humza, Yahya Abid, Hafiz Abul Hassan, Mudassar Butt and Dr Waseem Akhtar from Jamat-e- Islami also asserted that the incumbent government was making a deal with India over the blood of Kashmiris.
