Country on the verge of disaster, says Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said corrupt and incompetent rulers had brought the country to the verge of disaster was a matter of serious concern for every patriotic Pakistani. Addressing workers of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Thursday, he said if the nation did not get rid of the corrupt rulers, the country might face irreparable loss. “They are all corrupt and only Nawaz Sharif is a ray of hope for the country,” he said, adding that only he could steer the country out of crises. Shahbaz said lust for wealth and loot and plunder of the ‘Qabza Mafia’ in Islamabad had destroyed the national economy and besides nepotism and plunder, adding that a new scandal of corruption was coming to the limelight almost daily, but the rulers remain unmoved. He said it was the need of the hour that the thieves and plunderers were held accountable and looted money recovered and an example be made out of them so that nobody could dare loot the hard-earned money of the people and national resources in the future.
He said that only aim of the rulers was to prolong their rule, adding that those who got loans of billions of rupees written off from banks on political basis were sitting in the power corridors and the present government had to its credit famous scandals like the NICL, rental power plants and Haj scam. The chief minister further said that service to the people was the mission of the PML-N government and all out resources were being utilised for the welfare and betterment of the people, adding that a comprehensive policy had been adopted for the elimination of poverty and unemployment, while revolutionary measures had been taken for the uplift of health and education sectors. He said that setting up of Daanish schools, Punjab Educational Endowment Fund, Aashiyana Housing Scheme for the poor, mobile health units, yellow cab scheme and interest free loans for the youth had resulted in the relief to the masses.
