SAP lauds bill approval from NA

The South Asia Partnership upheld the approval of the Anti-Women Practices Bill, 2008 in the National Assembly. They termed this approval of the bill a major turn in the civil society movement in Pakistan. SAP congratulated all the members of the NA who were behind thebill and who had immediately given its approval including Speaker Fehmida Mirza. SAP stated that the Bill had been passed amidst many difficulties and much struggle and for the protection of the terrible and gruesome practices against women.
