The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued notices to the secretaries of the Planning Commission, Cabinet Division and Establishment Division, on a petition filed by 47 employees of the Ministry of Health against their removal through verbal orders in August. Justice Riaz Ahmad Khan held the hearing of the case.
The ministry had initiated four different programmes in which around 260 employees were working but 47 of them challenged the move in the court of law, while contending that their removal was a great injustice. On Thursday, Secretary Capital Administration and Development Division Ch Junaid Iqbal informed the court that they were not assigned the responsibilities related to the said programmes.
