A team of British surgeons will reach Lahore to assist Sheikh Zayed Hospital doctors in liver transplant operations on December 2 and will perform transplants in the hospital with the local experts, SZH chairman said while talking to prize distribution ceremony held for the team that carried out the first cadaver liver transplant in the hospital three months back. The team, consisting of 54 surgeons, anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, nurses and paramedical staff was awarded cash prizes. The chairman appreciated the hard work put in by the members. Discussing future plans, he said in 2012 around 50 liver transplants would be performed in the hospital.
