A two-judge bench of Supreme Court at Lahore registry dismissed on Tuesday an appeal seeking reopening of cases relating to illegal allotment of plots made against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Mian Nawaz Sharif during the rule of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto (late). Lahore Development Authority’s former director general Major (r) MH Ansari had filed this appeal challenging an order of a Lahore High Court full bench wherein the cases of corruption in LDA plots were cancelled. An advocate-on-record informed the bench that the petitioner had not been pursuing the case for many hearings. At this the bench dismissed the appeal. LHC scolds Okara DPO for failing to recover warden’s wife: The LHC on Tuesday scolded the Okara district police officer (DPO) for failure of police in recovering the wife of a traffic warden from illegal custody of her parents in a love marriage case.
Justice Mazhar Iqbal Sidhu ordered DPO Muhammad Abid to present the girl alive in the court in the next three days using any of all ‘policing means’. The judge was hearing a petition filed by traffic warden Humayan Shahzad seeking recovery of his wife Mariam, who was allegedly confined by her family members for marrying him against their will. The judge said that police was not realising the sensitivity of the matter because the life of the girl was in danger and police was making excuses in the court. The DPO Okara sought time for the girl’s recovery and the court, giving him three days, adjourned the case’s hearing until November 18.
PETITIONS AGAINST PMDC
DISMISSED: A division bench of LHC on Tuesday dismissed all petitions against the entry tests system of the PMDC for students seeking admissions to the medical colleges. The petition was filed by eight FSc students including Muhammad Zubair and girl students through their counsel Muhammad Azhar Siddique requesting the court to abolish entry test system for medical colleges as the allotment of 50 marks for the entry test against 40 marks for FSc was unfair. Earlier, bench comprising Justice Ch Shahid Saeed and Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan had reserved the judgment. Later the counsel for the students told reporters that LHC’s decision would be challenged in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

  1. Pakistani nation specially people relate below poverty and middle class want only justice and hate corruption with them. These people are offering sacrifices by falling in hunger and bad poverty. We have observed that during 64 years only the mightiest get all benefits disregarding rights of citizens. people know that countries well organized well administered controlled over all Pakistani institutions due to total negligence of heads that fell in greed for making material wealth and accumulated in banks around the world by looting ,plundering and embezzling Pakistani national wealth now faded up. No country should allow any disloyal of one nation to be settled in their country because of truth that a person who is disloyal to his own nation can never be loyal for others. Government concerns now must open their eyes and grievances of people that faces social, economical and institutional injustices be redressed and be saved nation..
