The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC)’ Clean Lahore campaign is gaining momentum as the company has started taking government school teachers and students in the loop. The company launched first of its kind “School Awareness Program” in November by arranging awareness activities, presentations and painting and writing competitions in schools in different union councils of the city. Second activity of the campaign was held at Lady Maclagan High School at Lower Mall. LWMC’s Communication Department gave a detailed presentation on benefits of cleanliness specially designed for young children. The primary section students, teachers, principal and vice principal were also present on the occasion. After the presentation, the students had a colouring, drawing and essay writing competition on ‘How to keep our city clean’. LWMC management presented a dustbin to the students to be placed near their canteen area.
