At least eight people, including two women and a child, were killed and 14 wounded in two separate road accidents in Punjab in the wee hours of Wednesday, media reported.
The first incident took place near Shor Kot Cantt area where a car-tractor collision killed four persons, and injured four others.
The victims were going to attend a funeral prayer in the area. They were later shifted to Shor Kot Cantt hospital, where the injured are said to be in critical state.
Separately, a passenger coach, carrying at least 15 people, fell in Bahawalpur canal when the driver lost control over the vehicle.
Four people, including two women and a child, were instantly killed, while 10 others sustained injuries. They were taken to Hasilpur Hospital for treatment. The ill-fated coach was going to Wihari from Hasilpur.
