Interior Affairs Minister Rehman Malik has said that Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, sectarian issues and foreign elements were involved in target killings and terrorist incidents in Balochistan province.
Inside the Parliament House, talking to MNA Nasir Ali, who is boycotting the National Assembly session to protest killing of innocent people in Balochistan, the interior minister said that the security forces had found evidences that banned outfit Lashkhar-e-Jangvi was involved in target killings in Quetta.
Rehman said that the security forces have recovered mobile sets and data of conversation between jailed terrorists of the Lashkhar and their accomplices. He said that the security forces had succeeded to reduce incident of target killing in Balochistan and soon peace would be restored in the entire province.
He said a meeting of chief secretaries and police chiefs of all provinces would be convened soon to chalk out foolproof security plan during Moharram. He said that all stakeholders should work together to eliminate terrorism from the country.
