Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Sunday that in view of the sensitivity of the situation in the region, political consciousness and vigilance must be exercised so that unknowingly and inadvertently playing into the hands of anti-social elements may be avoided. Addressing a tribal jirga from North Waziristan, DI Khan, and Tank in Peshawar, he said the terrorism imposed upon the Pakhtuns had added to the sensitivity of the conditions and the presence of NATO forces in Afghanistan plus the repeated border violations from there added to it, “thus we must remain vigilant at all times”. Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Senator Afrasyab Khattak also addressed the jirga.
