The city police on Monday claimed to have arrested eight outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 13 bottles of liquor, heroin, one 32-bore revolver and looted items from their possession. According to a spokesman for Islamabad police, Bhara Kau police arrested three thieves identified as Waseem, Nasir and Sohail and recovered looted items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees from them. The spokesman said Nilore police arrested a thief, Abdul Qadeer, and recovered two snatched mobile phones, cash, one pistol and other items from him. ASI Javed Iqbal from Shalimar police nabbed a bootlegger, Shahid Sharif, and recovered 13 bottles and one gallon of liquor from his cab, while Koral police arrested two drug pushers, Riasat and Arshad, for having 235 gram heroin from them, the spokesman added. He further said that cases had been registered against all the accused under relevant sections and further investigation was being carried out.
