Jessica Chastain to play Princess Diana?

Up-and-coming starlet Jessica Chastain may play the late Princess Diana in an upcoming biopic, reports industry blog Thompson on Hollywood. The actress is reportedly in talks to play Di in ‘Caught in Flight’, to be directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel (‘Downfall’). The film focuses on Diana’s private relationship with Pakistani heart surgeon Hasnat Kahn, and is described as a “love story between a princess locked in a tower and an ordinary man.” The quiet two-year relationship between Diana and Dr. Kahn will be explored in the movie, which insiders say will cast a different light on “The People’s Princess.” (Apparently, the script shows Diana as a damaged woman who stalks the doctor after he calls off the relationship.) An Ecosse films project, ‘Caught in Flight’ will reportedly start pre-production in March 2012. The movie is slated to shoot in multiple locations – including Pakistan, Angola, the south of France and Paris, where Diana died in a fatal paparazzi car chase. Chastain, 30, is on her way to becoming A-list. In 2011, the actress starred in ‘Tree of Life’, ‘The Help’, ‘The Debt’, and ‘Texas Killing Fields’.
