Police claimed to have arrested at least two people on charges of stealing bones of dead bodies from graves at a graveyard located in the Liaquatabad area. Media reports said the arrests were made late on Thursday night. Police said an anti-crime cell team raided a compound and arrested two people accused of stealing bones from graveyards. The accused were identified as Islamuddin and Siraj.
Police say they received complaints that the accused stole bones from graves, especially the bones of infants. Officials claimed to have recovered stolen bones, pieces of cloth, and other material from their possession.
