Following the instructions of Railways Inspector General Syed Ibne Hussain, Railways Police have made foolproof security arrangements for Sikh yatris to avert any untoward incident.
According to a handout, special commandoes were deputed at railway stations in uniforms and civvies where the entry of common persons was totally banned. Female commandoes were also deputed to frisk the visitors and suspected persons. Around 2,000 Sikh yatris had arrived in Nanakana Sahib on November 11 through Wahga Border on trains and now they have travelled to Hassan Abdaal on special trains amid tight security.
SIXTY-THREE ARRESTED: Mujahid Squad arrested 63 persons on the charges of illicit weapons, drugs and gambling and recovered 17 pistols and rifles and 565 bottles of liquor and other drugs.
ROBBERS NABBED: Mozang Investigation Police claimed to have nabbed two robbers and recovered looted booty and illegal weapons from their custody. The arrested criminals were identified as Ijaz alias Judgy and Tauqeer alias Chaand.
ACTION AGAINST PRESSURE HORNS: Chief traffic officer has directed the DSPs to taken stern action against vehicles using pressure horns and displaying number plates that do not follow the rules.
