Road accident kills one, injures 16 in Karak

One person was killed and sixteen others were injured in a road accident on the Indus highway on Friday.
The injured were taken to Karak District Headquarters Hospital, where four people, said to be in critical condition, were referred to the Kohat Divisional Headquarters Hospital.
Police sources informed that a coach (LAT 3287) going from Takht Nusrati to Kohat was involved in a head-on collision with a car (LSD 9987) near Jamea Chowk on Indus highway in the Karak Police precincts. The car driver died on the spot. Four other car passengers were said to be in critical condition while the 12 bus passengers sustained minor injuries.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained, while the other car passengers have been identified as Iqbal, Sherin Zaman, Muddasar Shah and Mukamal Shah. They were residents of Muslimabad, Kohat district. The 12 injured bus passengers have been identified as Arif Rehman, Naveed, Ameer Zaman, Muhammad Naeem, Muhammad Irfan, Azmat Ali, Muhammad Hayat, Asal Muhammad, Sanaullah, Abid Nawaz, Speen Gul and Afsarullah.
