Commenting on the big public gathering of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf and the Pakistan Muslim League-N in Lahore, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that the PPP-led federal government did not need to show muscles to prove its strength.
“Since, we are in the government and the government doesn’t need to show power or muscles to prove its strength,” the prime minister told reporters after addressing 125th year celebrations of Aitchison College on Saturday.
Gilani rejected allegations of the PML-N, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and certain parties and made it clear that the agencies were not involved in making the PTI public meeting in Lahore successful. He said that most of the political parties were coalition partners in the federal government, therefore, the parties or the public were not wary of democratic set-up.
